Lounge and Dining
The original design of this area saw panelling on all the lounge walls which we agreed created a claustrophobic feel. The stairwell further enclosed the overall feel of the room.
We knew this room had heaps of potential and set about a total makeover. Fresh wallpapers, new curtains, painted doors and the introduction of bright, contemporary furniture immediately lifted the overall room ambience. The large painting of the poppies also adds a welcome counterpoint as guest enter the room.
The stairwell which was previously exposed underneath was enclosed creating a softer area with neat straight lines. At the same time we all decided the wooden ceiling should remain to create a more modern, contemporary feel.
